Meeting with mr Sharma where resentment is being expressed on non implementation of DERC tariff.
It is high time that our mlas must take public into confidence .
City mode is ugly and corrective action is needed.

Crime capital or cultural capital

Our blog has highlighted several times the need to put in place cctv and especially in view of cwg.
But there is no blue print in sight as to when even important road intersections or THE PASSAGES LEADING TO COMMON WEALTH GAMES VENU will be connected with such facilities.
The crime rate gets pushed up in big cities but IMMEDIATE DETECTION AND SWIT PUNISHMENT will deter criminals.
Daily new papers are flashing reports of murder but our police is unable to cope up.
CRIMINALS ARE EMBOLDENED WITH PUBLIC EMPATHY and fearlessnes of not getting caught or punished.
CRIME IS PAYING.
Let us at least put a stop to it.
Our joint front needs to be activated without wasting a day.

I have read and reread views and of course news in Hindustan times.
Vohra is right about Krishan nagger.
This is more than lpn of south Delhi .
My office desu was in Krishan nagar and lal quarter was and is still housing very important offices of BSES.
So, since 19977 I have long association. With this area.
NOW KRISHAN NAGAR IS THE MECCA OF OUR BLOG.

Up gradation of colonies for tax collection murposes

Unit area taxation was based on services available to residents. Categorisation came at the time of introduction of UNIT AREA BASIS FOR TAX COLLECTION.
Now with the commissioning of METRO, tax burden is going to be increased because these colonies are enjoying benefits of METRO SERVICE.
First when metro route was being decided, residents had no say.
Now to burden the cononies chosen for upgradation is an invitation for tax evasion.
This is a hasty decision and will invite criticism from all concerned.
Better approach could be to invite public opinion and then chose what ever is in the best interests of delhites.

bharat bandh and life in delhi

To day is monday and almost all markets are closed in transyamuna area. Situation will be same in south delhi in area like lpn and in central delhi like karol bagh.
But bandh or no bandh, fact is that prices are soring and fixed income group is really hard hit.
Miseries are compounded because of our soft attitude towards tax evaders and law breakers. Result is that maximum sufferes are law abiding persons.
Any idea when prices will come down from their dizzy heights.
Opposition parties did not cover themselves in glory when in power.
So, it is votes getting exercise...prices will go on rising.
All is well even when masses are starving and farmers are committing suicide.

We are the best

Terminal 3 of indra gandhi air port has been inaugurated.
The write up mentions its ranking as number eight in the world.
So , we are capable of achieving remarkable results, be it badminton or building of a world class utility.
Now at very very down to earth level we must eradicate feeling that any wrong action can be condoned.
My wife and my self had to get an auto for jagat puri from vikas marg ...patparganj crossing to day around 3.30pm.
With fare rates revision in place i thought now hiring would be hassel free. But look what happened.
None of the six autos standing heeded to our pleadings.
Finally i dialed auto help...it was busy ....and then 100 came to our rescue. I gave auto number and flying squad asked to wait. After ten to 15 minutes, i could spot two traffic constables and one of them helped us to hire an auto rikshaw.
Why it is necessary for auto drivers to refuse now...is beyond understanding.
Since additional staff in plane clothes has been posted, i suggest that at least important auto stands near to traffic signal intersection and metro stations may be kept under watch.
The image of city shall get a boost if tourists pouring in delhi go with happy experiences.
Let us prove..WE CAN DO IT.

Property tax and lax officers

Some where I read that mcd is not collecting even 1/3rd PROPERTY TAX.and that was and societies would be included in tax collection. Effort.
THE ASSOCIATION of rwas and sqocieties would have changed the whole scenario.
BUT then who wants to bell the cat.
It is a matter of record that even shops in. Area like preet Vihar,Nirman Vihar and Madhuvan have been subdivided and converted in to two or three shops.
Since there is patronage,
No body is bothered if these are illegal and VIOLATIVE OF SUBLEASE etc.
So the threats are only for law abiding and meek.

Rest will wake up when there is understanding that evasion will not be profitable.

I need your help.madhuvan,nirman vihar and PREET vihar societies were allotted land almost simultaneously in 1978.
The development of roads, parks, water and sewage lines was done according to DDA sanctioned layout plan
A block PREET vihar was separated from Madhuvan as 15 ft service lane was provided which runs at the back side of Hno 68 to 77 and merged by school in their plot.
DESU erected poles for electricity which now are in school plot.
Even doors of houses mentioned above are opening in school plot.
School came into existence after 1984.
Sublease of school plot and layout plan of PREET vihar will clear this situation

COMMON WEALTH AND DELHI

Who is worried about image presented to the players from different countries. I am not talking about slums, unauthorised colonies or even our paan chewing habit or ease where ever we please...but our urgent requirement of money.
Tax collection machinery or political will is lacking. Neither congress nor others are willing to risk vote bank, but are not shy to empty pockets of aam admi by way of increasing prices of every item under the sun.
Why they fail to collect property tax from shops who have subdivided even in dda built commercial areas. No body is monitoring at what price or under what conditions land was allotted for primary schools in societies and now what is actual usage.
Even after directions of CENTRAL INFORMATION COMMISSION...MCD fails to recover legitimate dues.
It baffles me why delhi government is committing harakari by increasing prices of essentials which have spiralling effect.
I propose, let signage be put up around area of COMMON WEALTH GAMES....beware..danger ahead..walk at your on risk on foot paths..even on road like NAGRAJ MUNI MARG from shakar pur t point to PREET VIHAR G BLOCK NEW DELHI 110092.
It does not matter if such issues were raised in bhagidari meeting, duly minuted and responded by police. Same is true of traffic signal even along vikas marg. Why such locations cannot be adopted(like children) by top officers(say upto october 2010).
PESSIMISM of public will have disastrous effect.
Let us act just for the sake of our children.

I CARD FOR POOR AND OUR SYSTEM

It is heart rending to see the children of maids . They bring their children as no body in jhuggi to look after them...Permit to share what i saw about ten ago in Madhuvan, new delhi 110092 .

We have An ornamental park just near the colony entrance.

I t is a small park and fully crowded with children,women and men . In the morning right from six even in winter season you will find ladies and gentlemen walking along foot path fully covered in woolens and still shivering walking clock wise and anti clock wise. I do not why not know why some prefer to walk in the direction of needle of ANALOGUE CLOCK. And others go in other direction. But all shiver.

The small children of maidsbetween age of four to ten, are bare foot and with virtually no woolens.

Some of us rebuke them for dirtying park.

I watched this drama as my house opens towards the park.

In fact a 20 ft lane separates us.

One day in a flash i saw human interaction playing its role. I brought biscuits, gave one to each of them. I continued this for a couple of days.

Then started the relationship.

I and the children became one...i waiting for morning and they waiting for me.

I talked to other morning walkers for clothes which their children are not using.

Acouple came with a big bag full of woolens.

I asked a lady for help.

The children had good woolen clothes.

Then for shoes, i gave money to buy shoes or chappals.

It was wonderful to see the beaming faces.

The children are ill clad because their parents are very very Poor.

They are not getting benefits of below POVERTY PENSION BECAUSE THEY HAVE NO ID.

I tried for one and i know what hassels are in the way.

TELL WHAT YOU CAN DO TO HELP.

A few can win and majority can be mauled

Since one thousand BC, a band of few came,looted,subjugated and ruled the majority. The huns,turks,moghuls,portugese,french and english men were the rulers.
The majority of us(let us admit) is tax evader,law breakers and uncompassionate in the land of budha.
The situation can change provided we will to change.
Let ony one or two come forward,identify a problem and work for the solution.
Problems are many....let us pick up small small first.
Why a taxi stand send you private cars in stead of taxis. Why our foot paths and roads are extension of shops.
Why even markings are not done in parking lots. If lanes are pained in white then vehicles will be parked properly.
Just pick up one and one locality and then see the result
